Abstract: The protein tertiary structure prediction problem is examined, which is one of up-to-date problems of
computational biology. The results received earlier for two-dimensional case are extended for 3D and analyzed.
Algorithms of local and stochastic search, ant colony optimization are proposed. The questions of software
realization and their comparative research are discussed.
