EFFICIENCY INTERVAL DETERMINATION OF A CALCULATION PROCEDURE FOR THROUGHPUT ...

Abstract: The problem connected to computation of non-conflict schedule for crossbar switch node is NPcomplete from mathematical point of view. It is the reason for constantly suggested new algorithms for schedule calculations. The problem is that their efficiency has to be checked. The throughput of a “good” algorithm tends monotonically to some boundary. We suggest a procedure for quantitative determination of the convergence toward the boundary, utilizing data from computer simulation. In this paper are presented results of computer simulation for PIM algorithm with a certain model of incoming traffic (Chao model), made by means of CERN grid structure (lxplus.cern.ch). We check the hypothesis that convergence computation depends on the chosen parameter m of the procedure. Checking is made for m=4 and m=3. The obtained data confirm validity of the hypothesis for the chosen values m. As a result we reach a new conclusion: the derived values of the error for the internal variable δ give (an independent) estimation of the simulation errors. Having this in mind we can plan experiments that will give us the required accuracy for the determination of the boundary under the limited computer power available.

Abstract: Problems of reducing risks, increasing the safety and reliability and the use of databases (DB) in emergency situations (ES) are considered in the paper. To solve these problems a technological sequence is proposed. To analyze data, the peculiarity presentation of quantitative and qualitative parameters in emergency situations is calculated. The possibility of logical and functional ER modeling CASE technology with a regard to minimize the risk of life in the emergency area is shown. Technical solution of the problem is given.

Abstract: In the given work displaying is built of great number of appearances on the great number of vectors of errors of pattern recognition by the neuron network, which allows to link classification of appearances with the analysis of vectors in space of errors. A criterion allows grouping appearances, recognizing and comparing them. A vector criterion is formulated of closeness of signal images in space of errors. An algorithm is offered for transition from space of parameters of signal images in space of errors of pattern recognition. An optimum decided rule is built for classification of signal images of signals with the use of weighed criterion of closeness of recognizable signal images in space of errors of recognition. Authenticity of the received scientific results, conclusions and recommendations of this thesis work has been confirmed by the results of experimental researches of the developed universal system of intellectual data analysis, which solve the task of recognition of objects of the electro-optical images NEFFClass BGCGG (Basic Gradient Conjugate Gradient Genetic), conducted on the base of „Institute of the Applied Systems Analysis” NTUU „KPI”. The results received in work evidently demonstrate efficiency of the use of the developed models, methods and algorithms for the solution of tasks of recognition of signals.

THE METHOD OF THE ENSURANCE OF STRUCTURAL SURVIVABILITY OF TELECOMMUNICATION ...

Summary: One of the most important properties of telecommunication networks to ensure their effective functioning is survivability. To ensure the survivability of telecommunication networks it’s required to solve a number of scientific and engineering problems at all stages of their life cycle – design, modernization or improvement, operation. Questions of ensurance of survivability of telecommunication networks are becoming more actual due to the intensive development of telecommunications in the past decade. The synthesis problems of survivability systems, evaluation, ensurance and improvement of structural survivability of the systems, as determined by the needs of practice acquired particular actuality today. The aim of this work is to develop a method of ensurance of structural survivability of telecommunication network (TCN), which implements the streaming approach using the proposed index of structural survivability TCN defined lower boundary of structural survivability, providing a guaranteed stable functioning TCN, the achievement of the desired value which is performed by the introduction of structural redundancy (as the property of survivability possess only redundant systems) using the optimization procedure of the sections branches reservation, the choice of which is determined on the basis of maximizing the effectiveness of each stage of the reservation. The optimization of value of the structural survivability of TCN is to achieve its maximum value at the existing restrictions. The method to ensure structural survivability TCN, based on the formation of sets of admissible routes for each service requirements, for which are formed the sets of admissible sections is developed. Are determined the probable values of unaffecting each section, and for each set of sections, which are formed on the basis of the lower boundary of the structural survivability TCN obtained as an average value of probable unaffecting sections. The paper proposes a developed the method of the ensurance of structural survivability of TCN, which is designed for procedural model, which includes the execution of the sequence of steps: 1) formation of the source data, 2) the evaluation of the structural survivability of TCN, 3) the ensurance structural survivability of TCN, 4) the development of solutions for the structural survivability of TCN. For each stage, are formulated the objectives and are determined ways to decide them. For stage 1) the list and the method to present the initial data are determined; for stage 2) are determined ways of forming sets of admissible routes and obtaining for them sets of 166 International Journal "Information Technologies & Knowledge" Volume 8, Number 2, 2014 admissible sections, for which are given methods for calculating the probabilities of unaffecting of each sections and the probabilities of unaffecting of all admissible sections which separate points s and t ( s,t n = 1, , s ≠ t, n – number of network points), is formulated a condition for the lower bound of the required structural survivability of TCN. In stage 3) optimization problem is formulated to ensure the required value of the lower limit of the structural survivability of TCN as a mathematical programming problem, is shown the feasibility of using the gradient method to solve it, a method of calculating the efficiency of each step of the optimization process. Stage 4) is final. At this stage is drawn the conclusion that the obtained solution of the optimization problem to introduce structural redundancy with in sets of limits or provides the required value of the index of structural survivability TCN or provides the procedure of recommendations on: changing the value of the matrix elements of the probability of unaffecting branches of the network which is computed value by solving the problem; the change of classes (priorities) and the "weights" of certain requirements; limiting values of network requirements, the change of defined limit values, the lower boundary of the structural survivability TCN. The proposed method can be used in the case where the sets of admissible routes and admissible sections are the sets of all possible routes and all possible sections in the TCN. An example of implementation of the proposed method to ensure structural survivability of the telecommunications network is made.

TWO-LEVEL GENETIC ALGORITHM FOR PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC DEVICES RECONFIGURATION

Abstract: The article considers the problem of programmable logic device reconfiguration after a failure of logic elements. The task is relevant to areas such as space exploration and important industrial facilities management that use highly reliable fault-tolerant systems. The article considers the failures of logic elements in the configurable logic blocks. For optimal reconfiguration logic modules must be placed on a programmable logic device without using faulty logic elements, while minimizing occupied area, the bond lengths and delays. The first step in solving the problem is to choose compactly located logic elements that will be involved in the implementation of the circuit. Compactness is understood as the minimum amount of information necessary to describe the set of logic elements. This task can not be solved exactly and effectively, but can be approximately solved by using various heuristics, including genetic algorithms. This article describes several well-known approaches to the problem and offers an original two-level coding method for constructing a genetic algorithm that takes into account features of the problem and uses standard genetic operators. The proposed algorithm is implemented in practice in the form of a computer program to compare its performance with some other algorithms. Comparison of different heuristic algorithms in terms of accuracy of the solution and estimated speed of the proposed algorithm are given. One can say that the proposed genetic algorithm works on average longer than other heuristic algorithms, but finds a more accurate solution. This leads to a reduction of reconfiguration time and, thereby, increase availability ratio of the programmable logic device.

Abstract: Original approaches to building a system for detection of computer viruses are discussed in this work. The actuality of developing and implementing an effective classifier for both known and previously unknown viruses (zero-day) is grounded. A general approach to construction of a classifier for static virus detection using machine learning, based on analysis of recent research, is outlined in the paper. The results of new research are presented. The choice of the final aggregation model - Stack classifier - is grounded.

SPECIFICITY OF USING PATENT INFORMATION IN DEVELOPING INFORMATION SOCIETY IN RUS

Abstract: Article is dedicated to issues of forming information society in Russia nowadays. The main characteristics and challenges of modern information society are described. The development of the information systems is aimed at the control of the Russian economy. It is closely connected with the changes in the various fields of these systems’ application. The transition to a civilized market economy is characterized with the changes at both: at the macroeconomic level, i.e. in the Russian economy as a whole, and at the microeconomic level, i.e. in the enterprises, organizations and institutions. Summing up all of the above, we can observe the emergence of fundamentally new economic concepts, objects, business entities, changing ranges of goods and services. On these circumstances, information systems are subject to radical changes to support economic activities. The rapid growth and differentiation of the demand for all kinds of information, including scientific, technical, economic, financial and commercial data, as well as increasing demand for the information content and the forms of its presentation, are the dominant incentive for the development of information systems to exchange electronic data. Thanks to scientific and technological achievements and innovative process, we can see and apply new hardware and software. So-called information revolution as a consequence of scientific and technological progress of recent decades can be characterized by the emergence of the network economy and the development of the information society. International communication and implementation of information technology in the production and management processes, integration of global information networks provided the emergence of new management models aimed at the cooperation processes of economic entities operating on the basis of a global network of business interactions. The importance of the use of patent information in developing and manufacturing innovative high-tech products and services is also stressed in this paper. The method of complex search and use of patent information is presented in the article. The technique of the work with global patent information is based on patent search on patent databases of international patent organizations and Rospatent. Patent information, contained in the world patent databases, allows the organization to solve the basic problem of innovative activity: to determine the existing state of the art and the leading direction of innovations, to create technological innovations on the basis of the achieved technical level and to register the enterprise’s ownership on new invention and innovations. In the article the methods of conducting patent research to determine the world state of art through the use of patent databases on the websites of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS), the European Patent Office (EPO), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is described. The basic components of modern information resources of the network economy are outlined. Major Russian government programs defining development strategy in the fields of information society development and innovations – the State Programme "Information Society 2020" and The Strategy of Innovative Development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2020 "Innovative Russia – 2020" – are reviewed in this paper. Abstract: The research devoted knowledge communication within the academic environment. Participants from different Russian universities were involved to the research. The results show new ways of delivering knowledge to students as well as improving knowledge management tools and methodology. The development of information and communications technology (ICT) has a great deal of influence on the information environment. Information tools and methodology are changing rapidly. There are many knowledge communications which can be used during vocational, scientific or ordinary activities. As a rule knowledge sources are classified according to users and subjects. Scientific reviews publish learned papers, which are considered as a source of new knowledge. There is a variety of resources for entertainment, inquiry, business and other purposes. The blending and even the replacement of one knowledge source by another can be seen everywhere. In general, this shows an increasing access to knowledge. But the assessment of the results of using such an approach cannot be so optimistic because this depends on the quality of the knowledge resource. References to Wikipedia are getting increasingly common in student papers, replacing references to books and scholarly journals. Nowadays different sources of knowledge compete with a variety of online resources for the attention of the Internet users. Every day, a student using the Internet has a difficult task of determining which online resource should be used for academic work. Abstract: This paper is devoted to the theoretical comprehension of role and status of information society and information economy in modern society as well as to the estimation of level of information and communication technologies (ICT) implementation in different spheres of economy and social life in Ukraine. It analyses the special terms which are used in information society concept and conducts the comparison between economy of information and economy of industrial society. The information economy we define as the stage of economical development which is characterized by combination of traditional and high-tech industries on the basis of wide implementation of intellectual capital and ICT .This paper conducts the estimation of level of ICT implementation in Ukraine on the basis of official information of State Statistics Service of Ukraine, information of the International Telecommunication Union and the World Bank as well as the composite indexes, such as an ICT Development Index and Networked Readiness Index. As the result of this research we detect the powerful ICT infrastructure in Ukraine and high level of its human capital but not relevant political and regulatory environment which decelerate the development of information society in Ukraine. We propose the expansion of ICT implementation by traditional for Ukraine branches of economy such as metallurgy, manufacturing, agriculture etc., that can not only increase the efficiency and competitiveness of the Ukrainian enterprises but also initiate the deepening of ICT implementation in all spheres of public life and development of information society in Ukraine.

Аннотация: Бурное развитие электронного бизнеса в последние годы определяется не столько успехами автоматизации коммуникационных процессов, сколько успешной реализацией электронных технологий в бизнесе, создавшей необходимую базу для роста общей динамики рыночных процессов 1, 4. В связи с этим появляется необходимость в создании профессионально-ориентированного бюро (EB-Office), которое создается в университетах-участниках проекта из стран-партнеров ECOMMIS “Двухуровневые программы обучения электронной коммерции для развития информационного общества в России, Украине и Израиле”. Проект ECOMMIS направлен на совершенствование преподавания дисциплин в сфере технологий электронной коммерции на базе европейских ВУЗов- участников проекта. “Проект финансируется при поддержке Европейской Комиссии” 4.

Abstract: The objects of the study, presented in this paper, are the manuscripts of the exhibition "The Brilliance of Byzantium", or “Greek Illuminated Manuscripts from the Balkans VI–XVIII C.”, at which were shown 121 not very well known Greek manuscripts from 13 warehouses in the Balkans. The purpose of this study is to construct a quantitative "chronological model" of the information about the Greek illuminated manuscripts from the Balkans VI–XVIII C. This model provides a basis for the conclusion that most likely the dating of a considerable amount of these manuscripts is wrong, i.e. that, apparently, many of the extant Greek illuminated manuscripts from the XV and XVI centuries are incorrectly dated and attributed to earlier epochs.

Abstract: This paper presents a complex compression method of tomographic data without loss. The proposed method is based on the classic and modified lossless data compression algorithms, which allow reducing not only the inter-element data redundancy on each shot, but the inter-frame redundancy, due to the peculiarities of tomographic data.

Abstract: In this works we propose an integrated approach to the analysis of self-similar properties of stochastic processes for time series of short length. The sequence of steps of the fractal analysis was given. These steps are: preliminary analysis, including the removal of short-term dependence and revealing the true long-term dependency; hypothesis testing of a self-similarity; unbiased interval estimation of the Hurst exponent in cases of stationary and non-stationary time series by several methods; correction of the resulting estimate of the Hurst exponent. Аннотация: Рассмотрен системный подход к оценке проектов космической деятельности. Такой проект является сложной системой с противоречивыми свойствами. Поэтому и оценка, и оптимизация (выбор) проектов космической деятельности осуществляется на основе теории принятия многокритериальных решений. Предложена методика как аналитической, так и качественной векторной оценки проектов с применением концепции нелинейной схемы компромиссов. Приведен реальный пример, иллюстрирующий возможности предложенной методики.

MATRIX FEATURE VECTORS AND HU MOMENTS IN GESTURE RECOGNITION

Abstract: This paper covers usage of matrix feature vectors and Hu moments in recognition of tactile sign language. The paper also provides comparative characteristic of both approaches and a variant of formation of feature vectors in matrix form. It is suggested to use orthogonal and ellipsoidal compliance distances for matrix feature vectors and numerical intervals for Hu moments.

METHOD OF DATA ANALYSIS BASED ON CLUSTERING IN “SYNDROMES” INDICATORS SPACE

Abstract: A new data analysis method is discussed that is based on calculating syndromes by training data sets. Syndrome are defined as sub-regions in feature space where mean values of target Y deviates from mean value of Y in whole data set. Described method of syndromes construction uses boundaries found with the help of modified version of optimal valid partitioning (OVP) method. The modification is based on new validation technique that allows more effectively delete redundant regularities from output set. OVP boundaries are used to find sub-regions in features space with strong deviation of target Y from its mean by whole data set. Such subregions further are called syndromes. Hierarchical tree method was applied to receive clusters of objects from training dataset in space of binary indices indicating if feature description of object belongs to corresponding syndrome. Such technique allows discovering sets of objects with similar syndromes. Experiments with biomedical datasets are discussed.
