Abstract: Based on J. Cl. Maxwell field theory and finite elements method a generalized mathematical model as well as its algorithm and software implementation have been developed. An anatomy (internal structure) of the controlled electro-magnetic reactors has been investigated based on the model, algorithm and SW. The correlations between design and circuit features of the devices and their differential characteristics have been determined; project decisions targeting device optimization have been made. Graphical Interpretation of the Magnetic Filed Calculation Results for Electro-Magnetic? Devices computer animation has been developed. The animation visually presents the results of simulation and is available at the author’s web-page (http://zei.narod.ru). It is also used as a student study guide for the Theoretical Basis of Electrical Engineering and Electrical Machines courses.
