Abstract: In terms of binary relations the author analyses the task of an individual consumers’ choice on the
teaching excerpts set. It is suggested to analyse the function of consumer’s value as additive reduction.
For localization of the vector of weighting coefficients of additive reduction the procedures based on metrics of
object distance towards the ideal point are suggested.

Abstract: In this paper the main problems for computer design of materials, which would have predefined
properties, with the use of artificial intelligence methods are presented. The DB on inorganic compound
properties and the system of DBs on materials for electronics with completely assessed information: phase
diagram DB of material systems with semiconducting phases and DB on acousto-optical, electro-optical, and
nonlinear optical properties are considered. These DBs are a source of information for data analysis. Using the
DBs and artificial intelligence methods we have predicted thousands of new compounds in ternary, quaternary
and more complicated chemical systems and estimated some of their properties (crystal structure type, melting
point, homogeneity region etc.). The comparison of our predictions with experimental data, obtained later,
showed that the average reliability of predicted inorganic compounds exceeds 80%. The perspectives of
computational material design with the use of artificial intelligence methods are considered.

Abstract: Systemized analysis of trends towards integration and hybridization in contemporary expert systems is
conducted, and a particular class of applied expert systems, integrated expert systems, is considered. For this
purpose, terminology, classification, and models, proposed by the author, are employed. As examples of
integrated expert systems, Russian systems designed in this field and available to the majority of specialists
are analyzed.

Abstract: The paper is a description of information and software content of a computer knowledge bank on
medical diagnostics. The classes of its users and the tasks which they can solve are described. The information
content of the bank contains three ontologies: an ontology of observations in the field of medical diagnostics, an
ontology of knowledge base (diseases) in medical diagnostics and an ontology of case records, and also it
contains three classes of information resources for every division of medicine – observation bases, knowledge
bases, and data bases (with data about patients), that correspond to these ontologies. Software content consists
of editors for information of different kinds (ontologies, bases of observations, knowledge and data), and also of a
program which performs medical diagnostics.

Abstract: In this report we will explain some earlier papers 1, 2 which are about definition of Artificial
Intelligence and about perfect AI. The definition of AI is intuitive in 1 and formal in 2. The perfect AI is a
program that satisfies the definition for AI but which is absolutely useless because of the combinatory explosion.
Most people do not understand these papers because they never saw AI and that is why for them the notion of AI
is too abstract. In this report we will make parallel between definition of chess playing program and definition of
AI. Of course, the definition of chess playing program is useless because people already know what this is.
Anyway, we will give you this definition because its construction follows closely the construction of the definition
of AI. Also the results are almost the same with the only difference that we can optimise the perfect chess playing
program in order to obtain a real chess playing program, but for the moment we cannot optimise the perfect AI in
order to obtain a real AI.
In this report we will not speak about AI. The only matter which we will observe will be about chess playing
programs. If you understand the construction and the results about chess playing programs then you can read the
papers 1, 2 and to see similar results about AI.

Abstract: Exploration of intangible world is under the serious influence of esotericism. Mystics, religions,
unrestrained use of metaphors, fairy tales, gossips, unverified and uncertified “facts” – all this needs accurate
well-disposed, but sound scientific consideration. Our society really needs new ideas, new approaches and new
paradigms. Technological civilization becomes more and more complicated, risky and ecologically critical. The
current level of AI research cannot guarantee successful solution of societal control and management. Besides,
the human being itself practically did not change its mental and psychological abilities for many thousands years.
We can lose control over our society and its technology, if we do not change cardinally ourselves. In this text, I
tried to approach this problem – the problem of our noosphere from materialistic viewpoint.

Abstract: A definition of Artificial Intelligence (AI) was proposed in 1 but this definition was not absolutely formal
at least because the word "Human" was used. In this paper we will formalize the definition from 1. The biggest
problem in this definition was that the level of intelligence of AI is compared to the intelligence of a human being.
In order to change this we will introduce some parameters to which AI will depend. One of this parameters will be
the level of intelligence and we will define one AI to each level of intelligence. We assume that for some level of
intelligence the respective AI will be more intelligent than a human being. Nevertheless, we cannot say which is
this level because we cannot calculate its exact value.

Abstract: Given cybernetic idea is formed on the basis of neurophysiologic, neuropsychological, neurocybernetic
data and verisimilar hypotheses, which fill gaps of formers, of the author as well. First of all attention is focused
on general principles of a Memory organization in the brain and processes which take part in it that realize such
psychical functions as perception and identification of input information about patterns and a problem solving,
which is specified by the input and output conditions, as well. Realization of the second function, essentially
cogitative, is discussed in the aspects of figurative and lingual thinking on the levels of intuition and
understanding. The reasons of advisability and principles of bionic approach to creation of appropriate tools of
artificial intelligent are proposed.

Abstract: In this report we summarize the state-of-the-art of speech emotion recognition from the signal
processing point of view. On the bases of multi-corporal experiments with machine-learning classifiers, the
observation is made that existing approaches for supervised machine learning lead to database dependent
classifiers which can not be applied for multi-language speech emotion recognition without additional training
because they discriminate the emotion classes following the used training language. As there are experimental
results showing that Humans can perform language independent categorisation, we made a parallel between
machine recognition and the cognitive process and tried to discover the sources of these divergent results. The
analysis suggests that the main difference is that the speech perception allows extraction of language
independent features although language dependent features are incorporated in all levels of the speech signal
and play as a strong discriminative function in human perception. Based on several results in related domains, we
have suggested that in addition, the cognitive process of emotion-recognition is based on categorisation, assisted
by some hierarchical structure of the emotional categories, existing in the cognitive space of all humans. We
propose a strategy for developing language independent machine emotion recognition, related to the
identification of language independent speech features and the use of additional information from visual
(expression) features.

Abstract: Original method and technology of systemological «Unit-Function-Object» analysis for solving
complete ill-structured problems is proposed. The given visual grapho-analytical UFO technology for the fist time
combines capabilities and advantages of the system and object approaches and can be used for business
reengineering and for information systems design. UFO- technology procedures are formalized by pattern-theory

Abstract: The paper presents experience in teaching of knowledge and ontological engineering. The teaching
framework is targeted on the development of cognitive skills that will allow facilitating the process of knowledge
elicitation, structuring and ontology development for scaffolding students’ research. The structuring procedure is
the kernel of ontological engineering. The 5-steps ontology designing process is described. Special stress is put

Abstract: An automated cognitive approach for the design of Information Systems is presented. It is supposed to
be used at the very beginning of the design process, between the stages of requirements determination and
analysis, including the stage of analysis. In the context of the approach used either UML or ERD notations may
be used for model representation. The approach provides the opportunity of using natural language text
documents as a source of knowledge for automated problem domain model generation. It also simplifies the

Abstract: SMS (Short Message Service) is now a hugely popular and a very powerful business communication
technology for mobile phones. In order to respond correctly to a free form factual question given a large collection
of texts, one needs to understand the question at a level that allows determining some of constraints the question
imposes on a possible answer. These constraints may include a semantic classification of the sought after
answer and may even suggest using different strategies when looking for and verifying a candidate answer. In
this paper we focus on various attempts to overcome the major contradiction: the technical limitations of the SMS
standard, and the huge number of found information for a possible answer.

Abstract: In this article we discuss a possibility to use genetic algorithms in cryptanalysis. We developed and
described the genetic algorithm for finding the secret key of a block permutation cipher. In this case key is a
permutation of some first natural numbers. Our algorithm finds the exact key’s length and the key with controlled
accuracy. Evaluation of conducted experiment’s results shows that the almost automatic cryptanalysis is possible.

Abstract: This paper aims at development of procedures and algorithms for application of artificial intelligence
tools to acquire process and analyze various types of knowledge. The proposed environment integrates
techniques of knowledge and decision process modeling such as neural networks and fuzzy logic-based
reasoning methods. The problem of an identification of complex processes with the use of neuro-fuzzy systems is
solved. The proposed classifier has been successfully applied for building one decision support systems for
solving managerial problem.

Abstract: The TM4L environment enables the development and use of ontology-aware courseware based on the
Semantic Web technology Topic Maps. In this paper we discuss its features in the light of authoring support,
giving illustrative examples to highlight its use.

Abstract: One of the main characteristics of the world that we live in is the access to information and one of the
main ways to reach the information is the Internet. Most Internet sites put accessibility problem on a secondary
plan. If we try to define this concept (accessibility) we could say that accessibility it’s a way to offer access to
information for the people with disabilities.
For example blind people can’t navigate on the Internet like usual people. For that reason Internet sites have to
put at their disposal ways to make their content known to this people. Accessibility does not refer only at blind
people the web accessibility refers to all people who lost their ability to access the Internet sites.
The web accessibility includes every disability that stops people with disabilities to access the web sites content
like hearing disability, neurological and cognitive. People that have low speed Internet connection or with low
performance computers can use the web accessibility.

INFRAWEBS AXIOM EDITOR – A GRAPHICAL ONTOLOGY-DRIVEN TOOL ...

Abstract: The current INFRAWEBS European research project aims at developing ICT framework enabling
software and service providers to generate and establish open and extensible development platforms for Web
Service applications. One of the concrete project objectives is developing a full-life-cycle software toolset for
creating and maintaining Semantic Web Services (SWSs) supporting specific applications based on Web Service
Modelling Ontology (WSMO) framework. According to WSMO, functional and behavioural descriptions of a SWS
may be represented by means of complex logical expressions (axioms). The paper describes a specialized userfriendly
tool for constructing and editing such axioms – INFRAWEBS Axiom Editor. After discussing the main
design principles of the Editor, its functional architecture is briefly presented. The tool is implemented in Eclipse
Graphical Environment Framework and Eclipse Rich Client Platform.
