Abstract: Cloud computing is internet based computing that allows client computers to access shared resources, software, and information from servers on the web/cloud. Health informatics technology describes the use of computer information systems to manage the patients’ electronic health records based on electronic health record. The advent of cloud computing technology provides effective and dependable results to support
healthcare services. The cloud technology reduces these costs for consumers and IT by improving clinical and
quality outcomes for patients. This paper discusses the potential rule of the cloud technology in healthcare
informatics. In addition, it presents the global challenges and technical difficulties which are facing this new
technology.
